But she wanted all the names in Calligraphy

Vickie & Wayne are getting married abroad and having a party for family and friends when they come home. Therefore didn't want anything too 'flash'.

A nice but simple heart garland was all that was needed. 

Seen here in a beautiful pale blue.... but as will all our wedding invitations and stationery, it can be made in a choice of over 15 colours. 

 Most of our clients ask that their names be written in calligraphy, which makes a nice contrast to the type face underneath.

Music Themed Wedding Postbox and Wedding Guest Book

I've just finished this Wedding Guest Book

with a musical theme. 

It's great when you get to do something just that little 

bit different with the words

"Ohhh, just do whatever you want,

I'm sure it will be great!"

The lest restrictions, the freer the creativity flows

And you have the trust of your clients 

which is extra nice!

The book was made to match this beauty.

Tilly and Hutch's invitations 

were sent out of 45rpm records,

There's were black, vinyl things, that

 when you put them on a turntable

and placed a needle on them played back music -

(For the young ones around lol)

so her Aunt suggested that a music theme would be appropriate. 

I already had the artwork and designs on computer by this time,

so it made making the book so much easier!

New design - Ribboned, simple style, wedding invitation

Ok.... some girls collect shoes or handbags.... with me it's ribbons! Since Steve built me this ribbon rack I seem to have collected even more!.... Double this amount in fact!  

I was asked to make a gate fold design for a client... 

and while I had the double slotted cutter out, decided to have a play.....

Not all couples want graphics on their cards.... some prefer a much simpler design.

With a choice of many colours, these cards will suit those with an understated taste. 

There's still the option of over 15 foil colours, so there's no reason 

why they won't look different every time.

 If now on the look out for some thin 7mm lace, so I can add to the collection of samples. Perfect for the Vintage bride!

Sometimes the first question we get asked is

 "How much?".

Our answer is

 "It depends on what you are looking for!

All our Invitations and Stationery 

are priced depending on the following factors.

1. The QUALITY & THICKNESS OF THE CARD
we use a minimum of 250gsm card. too thick for most home printers. But some of our stationery is a whopping 330gsm. So remember, when comparing prices, compare quality too! 

2. The SIZE of the item you are buying. Obviously the larger the item the more materials are used in creating it.

3. The FINISH of the item. We laser print and foil our stationery. Foiled items are first laser printed and then processed again through a foiling machine. 

4. The FORMAT of the item. If we're talking about invitations here, a flat card style invitation not only takes less materials, but compared to a folded card with an insert, takes less time in the making up. 

But ALL our prices allow for the on-to-one consultation, personalisation, the proofs and the final making up of your order. 

In order to give our couples a wider choice and prices to suit every budget, our invitations and stationery range is now available Laser Printed as well as our speciality service of foil printed.

All our prices include a full design and personalisation service and all items are made to order. Here’s a guide to how little these items can cost you… and of course you are dealing direct with the maker… from the initial consultation and advice session, right through to your finished on-the-day items… and all this comes included in our prices.

Ohhhh.... how I have loved making this!

Music themed Wedding post box....

I was contacted by the Auntie of one of this couple...

"They're hiring a jukebox....and their wedding invitations 

were sent out made out of old 45 rpm records"

Straight away I got pictures in my head of how this would end up,

and fortunately Christine gave me free reign to do whatever I wanted.

She said she trusted me to do a good job after seeing the

Irish Themed Wedding Post Box,

she knew I was the one who could make something just that little bit different! 

First I found, printed and cut out some records.

I had to laugh when my little 4 year old Granddaughter came to the studio.

"Hey. Daisy.... what are these?"

"Umm... Grandma... they are CD's!"

"No Daisy... they are records"

"Grandma.... what's a record?"

EVER FELT OLD?

Anyway... I digress... where was I?

Yes... first I found the records....

Printed and cut them out....

 And then some Black Music symbols.....

Then there's the calligraphy/hand lettering to be written for the plate.

The artwork for this is always done in Black as

 it reproduces the best, and the foil will give it colour.

Then the plate is made for the front..

And today... I pieced it all together

Pretty cool dontcha this?
