Personalised Wedding Stationery - Anne and Lee

Anne and Lee came to see me to make their Save the Date cards. Many of their family live abroad and would need plenty of notice, to save up and come across to the UK. The wedding was planned for next year. The cards were duly sent out.....
But after family members became ill, it was decided to move the wedding forward a year. The daytime invitations were folded cards and we decided that the evening invitations were to be postcard style., in gorgeous Cadbury's Purple foil.

The butterfly and stars design was created after Anne showed me pictures of styles that she found she was drawn to. It's lovely to make cards and designs around the brides ideas and I find it brings out the creative spirit in me :-)

Far better than the run of the mill, shop bought invitations that are on the market right now and totally unique!

Hand Made Wedding Invitations - Rebecca and Craig

Rebecca loved the heart design that was originally on a square format card (14.5 cm x 14.5 cm) but was really attracted to the long thin design with the bride and grooms name across the middle....

I was happy to oblige and redesign these to fit the 10 cm x 21 cm format

I think they worked really well and I've added yet another design to my portfolio.

Wedding Guest Books

Love, Good Luck, 2 entwined hearts and a hand made charm were just crying out to be added to these personalised, hand made guest books....

It's rather strange, that I can go for weeks, sometimes months, without orders to make these guest books, then all at once you seem to get a un of them.
Laura chose Light Purple (Almost lavender) covers and Cadbury's Purple ribbon and foil.

Ruth and Lee chose sunshine yellows, with copper lettering to match their wedding invitations.

Two very different looks for guest books made exactly the same, making each one unique in itself.

Wishing Trees For Hire in North Yorkshire

When I wrote the blog post about 'A Simple Alternative To The Wedding Guest Book' I talked about making a wishing tree out of twisted willow.

I didn't, however, take into account it's tremendous growing powers and in only 2 weeks it had taken over the studio and rooted! Daily, like a triffid, it spread across the gallery ceiling, so I was more than relieved to find my suppliers had non growing wishing trees in stock.

I've 2 trees for hire, one white and one natural....complete with moss around the bark. There's plenty of space to add the Personalised Wishing Tags which I also sell.

At the moment these are only available to hire within a 25 mile radius of Northallerton, due to delivery, set up and collection logistics.

They look rather eye catching and a novel alternative to the Wedding Guest Book.

Sharon and Dan - Handmade Wedding Invitations

Sharon and Dan wanted something quite plain and simple. The only stipulation, once they had picked out their design
was that they wanted it in Royal Blue

Great news for me! It's was a chance to use the new Royal Blue foil that had just arrived! And with complimentary ribbon they looked great too!

Ruth and Lee - Two ideas conbined

Ruth and Lee came to see me last Thursday

and couldn't decide between 2 designs.... t

he first had large personalised names

running alon the bottomThe second had a curly blessing tree and butterfly.....

As each card is designed and made especially for the Bride and Groom and not mass produced, it was fairly easy to join the two ideas together.

They chose Copper Foil, the nearest colour to peach that I had in my choice of 17 colours. I think they look rather nice and a refreshing change from Gold and Silver and the ever popular Hot Pink :o)
